The entire meeting today was spent working on the prototypes that were devised over the weekend, and building both the bump in the field and the bridge. There were two teams working on firing mechanisms, both were able to create a successful prototype. So far we have a punching launcher that uses bungee cords to propel an arm that fires a ball, and two wheels attached to a wooden frame that can be powered by drills to fire a ball. We also had a team working on a sweeping mechanism to pick balls up off of the field and a team that worked on building the parts of the field necessary for testing.
Overall, today was incredibly successful, and we'll soon have a basketball hoop to practice with.
